TEACHING
My teaching work has brought me all around the world! I have taught in seven countries including Australia and Thailand, and everywhere I go my mission is to create welcoming spaces for growth and exploration.
Currently teaching for the SPARK program with the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities, I’ve been travelling across the state to help promote literacy through drama. Sharing time with elementary students, guiding them through drama activities while exploring stories, is the highlight of my year!
One of the things I am most proud of from throughout my career as an educator is the creation of the Upstart Crows (formerly Shakeapeare’s Kidz) in 2014 with the South Carolina Shakespeare Company. My goal with the Upstart Crows is to use the study and performance of Shakespeare’s works to create a welcoming and loving space space for students of all ages and abilities to learn, create, and grow together.
